What releveling involves
A manufactured home does not sit on a continuous foundation. It rests on two steel beams running the length of the chassis, and those beams rest on a row of piers: a footing pad on the ground, a block or steel column, and shims making contact with the beam. When a pad settles or a shim drops, that point stops carrying its share and the frame follows it down.
Releveling restores contact and elevation at every one of those points. A contractor takes elevation readings across the home, identifies the piers that lost support, lifts in small controlled increments so the frame is not twisted, and rebuilds or corrects the piers and pads that failed.
